Flowerland Friday

It should be the law. Not just a local law, but an international law, set forth by civilized peoples everywhere. It would be signed in ink by each country. The 'Flowerland Friday Law': 'Every home on Earth shall have fresh flowers on Friday.'  Brilliant!

New Baby and A Week of Love

So thrilled to announce the birth of my 5th Grandbabe in Kuwait. February 12, 2013. "Nory", the prettiest of new baby girls. My Kuwait Girl pens a lovely expat blog here.

So many are opting and begging for houseplants or living centerpieces for Valentine's Day. Could this be a trend?  Ask your favorite Floral Designer.

Valentine's Day is so fun and awkward for little ones. Imagine the shyness in the primary grades. So, so sweet. No chocolate needed!

Take time to smell the roses and be sure to check out the new magazine by the team at Made By Girl.

Pia has big news too!

Wow! Love is truly in the air.

Dear Reader, I love you! PFXO

Hello Monday Happiness

Mondays are the most amazing day of the week. Hmmm. Perhaps I need to strike through that. All days are pretty darn nice and sweet and important. Different for different reasons for different people.

Take Thursday for example. Apparently more couples make love on this day and most friends (singles) head out on the town on this evening.

How was your weekend?  Did you have a lot of snow to shovel or were you lucky enough to lounge in hot sunshine? (I have a dear friend in Cuba...grrrr...no..seriously I'm not mad at her. Well, maybe just a tad.)

I feel the most motivated to do really well with my 'Jollitude' lifestyle - on Mondays.  I have been eating mostly plant-based foods, reading up (educating myself) and am enjoying this journey very much.

I have become somewhat addicted to a television channel eqhd. Their tagline is 'it's smart in here' and I agree.

"eqhd™ celebrates ideas, perspectives and ways of life around the world by bringing your family smart, compelling documentaries and commercial-free feature films that will inspire and engage you. Challenge your mind and feed your curiosity with a channel that doesn't shy away from divergent opinions."

The Olive Route is magnificent.  Inspired by Carol Drinkwater’s bestselling books, The Olive Route provides a compelling insight in to the Mediterranean Olive culture. In this series of documentaries, take an unforgettable journey across the Mediterranean and discover the secrets of the olive tree, a symbol of life and spirit of peace in the Mediterranean for thousands of years.

Do you have a channel addiction?

Celebration 2.0

we would have held hands on the streets
and embraced for the journo
swooping me off my feet
wiping the blood and tears from my face
but that was another eleven, eleven
now you find me in the crowd
searching for my name
the likes of which you had not seen
blue eyes blurring, watering
and you chase me, hunt me
on the wall, behind the wall
a toppling message collapses bricks
our palace now empty
we are alone with our new desires
liberating freedom, passionate words
now I find you in the crowd
knowing your name intimately
repeating the comments I had not heard
brown eyes weary, hopeful
and I chase you, hunt you
we could have held hands on the streets
and embraced for the journo
lifting each other off our feet
wiping the blood and sweat from our face
but this was another eleven, eleven
instead, we chose to make love
and it was revolutionary
